One death and 30 cases of dengue fever had been detected in the Nata’ district of Al-Beidha province in central Yemen, medical sources said on Monday.

The sources pointed out that the health office in Nata’ district recorded 30 cases of dengue fever in Maswar area of Al-Beidha.

The sources added that the local authority in Al-Beidha declared a state of emergency after recording deaths and cases of dengue fever.

According to medical sources, the number is still increasing in Maswar area due to the proliferation of mosquitoes, noting that a rapid response team has been sent in the district to inspect cases and provide some medicines.

The war, which has been going on for nearly five years, led to the deterioration of the health sector and the spread of epidemics and deadly diseases in Yemen including Al-Beidha province.
